Now that I’ve revealed a tiny bit of the web novel I’m developing, I thought it’s time for another round of isekai in this anime marathon series! This time, we’re going to go for some of the more well known isekai series that are out there.
Previously, in a cryptic entry where I talked about dreams, I mentioned that I was creating something new, a web novel series based around dreams and the concept of an “isekai” story popularised by Japanese anime/manga/light novels.
The most dangerous animal of all is, of course, man… which is why there are so many anime based on the idea of death games, it seems. Hollywood certainly has its fair share of movies that deal with the subject, but none of them compare to the absurdity that you tend to find with these titles.
This entry is going to be all about a new project I have already started working on within the last couple of weeks… something that I’m really happy with and would like to share. However, before I introduce you to this idea, I’d like to go over what inspired the creation of this new project.
Aha! You all thought that I had given up on this project or that I was going to put it into mothballs like with The Former Legacy! Nope, this project is still going strong, but with a little added twist as I’ve been developing it over the last year.
It’s been five years since I posted up the last entry of The Former Legacy and there’s been not a peep since! Well, that ends here, because I’ve decided that it’s time to put that little fan fiction project aside.
These are the voyages of the weebest weaboos to have ever weebed. Boldly watching all the strangest animu that can be viewed in as short a period of time as possible. This time, our continuing journey brings up to all the space related anime we can handle.
When it comes to love stories in anime, they come in all kinds of strange flavours, from your average vanilla teenage school drama, all the way to the strange love stories that span time and space.
When I realised I had a marathon on my hands, I had already gone through about 20 or so different isekai series before moving on to other anime. I mean, how could I not? There is just SO MUCH isekai that has been released over the last twenty years…
One of the most Japanese things you can get are the school clubs represented in countless anime and manga. Sure, school clubs do exist elsewhere, however, Japan has their own special way of doing things that makes them feel unique.
Oh yeah, this one’s definitely going to be awkward! We’re looking at the kind of anime very few people would even admit they watched in the first place. In my defence, I picked most of these titles randomly without actually looking at what I was getting myself into.
