It’s been a month since I started this project and so far, I’ve spent a lot more time developing the sprites and animations for the playable character, trying to figure out different aspects of the style and feel of the entire game.
As promised, I got down to it and finished off Claire B instead of taking a week or two break… in fact, considering I had a bit more viewership this time around, it’s encouraging me to put more time into streaming.
I kept my word and streamed a week later like I said I would. This time, I’ve started my playthrough of Claire B which has been interesting so far. It’s not like the changes are huge, but the new weapon options and all the little differences make it a whole lot of fun.
I haven’t exactly been spending a lot of time lately playing any game on or off twitch, but here we are now, finishing off Leon A on REmake2. I’m really glad I actually got to sit down and actually finish it off so I can start Claire B later next week…
All my life, if I ever had to drink anything it was always cold. I never liked warm or hot drinks of any kind, so it is no wonder that I ended up staying away from coffee, until now.
Yup, it’s been a month and I’m still committed to this project. I believe I can do it and I’m coming up with great ideas that I think are pretty interesting. In the last month I’ve been furthering the development of the playable character and fleshing out the controls.
In a previous article, I spoke a little bit about an issue with Sony and their censorship of games that are released on the PlayStation 4 and how this is an unacceptable practice in my eyes. The more I think about it, the more I need to start making good on drawing a line in the sand.
I had a sudden urge to play some more REmake2 and I finally actually started streaming again, hooray! The first time around, I played through Claire A, Leon B at launch, this time it’s going to be Leon A, Claire B.
After committing to making a game, I’ve decided the best approach to keep myself motivate and on track is too keep a kind of diary on my progress. This diary will be a monthly thing and will cover various aspects I discover about learning the process to make a video game.
PlayStation architect, Mark Cerny has been speaking about the PlayStation 5’s potential feature set recently, and it has gotten me thinking about the state of video games as they are right now and where this is all going to lead in the future.
I’ve been brainstorming ideas for a long time now, as I do with a lot of things, but I’ve finally come to the decision that I should actually go ahead and make my own game.
