Vidya of 2018 and more!

All of a sudden it’s 2019 and I still can’t believe how many games I ended up playing this year. Ever since I started streaming on twitch back on the 5th of September, I’ve streamed myself playing 33 games in total.

As I’ve said on my twitch channel, lately I’ve spent less and less time playing video games because of my job as a secondary school teacher, so why not create an excuse to play more and have fun interacting with others on the Internet? A couple thousand Australian dollars of equipment later and I’ve got a full streaming setup ready to go for all the games I’m going to be playing in 2019. I didn’t skimp on any of it either despite the fact that I’m a nobody with hardly anyone watching my streams at all.

If I’m going to stream, I may as well make the experience as high quality as possible which is why I went out of my way to get the following equipment:

• Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Generation Audio Interface
• TRITONAUDIO FetHead Pre-amp
• Shure SM7B Dynamic Vocal Microphone
• Blue Compass Boom Arm
• Logitech Brio 4K Webcam
• Elgato Green Screen

Along with the streaming equipment I also got myself a EVGA RTX 2080 XC GAMING as well as a Razer Orbweaver Chroma, a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick… and I can’t forget my latest purchase, an Alienware AW3418DW Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor to top it all off.

Throughout the entirety of 2018, I ended up playing around 40+ games, but with my new twitch channel up and running, I’ll be playing a hell of a lot more games in 2019… maybe I can even get up to the big 100 count, who knows.

I’m also going to be continuing to upgrade parts on my new PC that I built this year along with getting a Cintiq Pro 16 and dabbling in some more digital art like I use to make back in the old days.

2019 is going to be a great year for so many reasons.
