When I woke up today, I thought, why not spend the entire day playing Monster Hunter World? And so… here we are, though, this is only the session from the start of the day where I go through the Coral Highlands and enter the Rotten Vale.
This session was actually pretty short because I had already done a few hours finishing off Shadow of the Tomb Raider and doing other stuff throughout the day. However, I did end up getting to the Coral Highlands with the Rotten Vale the next area to explore.
Here we are at the end… and though there is a hell of a lot of content left in the game, I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve become fatigued and it is no longer holding my interest. So, I decided to just fly through the rest of the story content and get to the end…
I’ve already played the hell out of this game on my PS4, but since I’m focusing more on PC these days, I wanted to go through it all over again, but this time using an ultrawide monitor and with MUCH better load times.
With a new graphic driver update, it looks like this game has finally begun to stabilise… a little bit. Though, the other problem is that streaming takes a toll and end up having to turn down the settings for the game quite a bit to maintain a stable framerate.
Pretty hyped to finally play this because I never bought this game at launch. With that said, it looks like I’m having issues running this game as well, at least running it while streaming… the same issues that cropped up with Rise of the Tomb Raider are happening again with this game…
Damn this game really started to piss me off… I mean, I’ve already played through the entire thing on the Xbox One version that I own and completed it 100%… but going through this version became like pulling teeth. It just kept on crashing left and right every so often.
This session ended up being way shorter than I wanted it to be because I started having more graphic driver issues… thankfully it wasn’t as bad as it was when I was initially trying to get this game working, so no bluescreens of death this time around.
Thankfully things went a lot more smoothly for me in terms of getting this game running, though I did have one moment when the game did decide to crash on me for no apparent reason. Thankfully, with its checkpoint save system that saves with absolutely everything you do, it wasn’t that big a deal…
Ouch, I thought things would go smoothly when streaming this game like all the others before it, but as soon as I started things went horribly wrong. I can run this game pretty damn well on my PC by itself, but when streaming, OBS tends to freak out…
Here’s the second and final part of the game, though, in hindsight, it was probably a good thing that the game crashed were it did yesterday. As it turns out, I had actually completed two thirds of the game with this episode comprising of the last third.
