Not the best Metroid game made, it certainly does have a lot of things that I don’t like, but at the very least, it plays well and does have one or two cool aspects… and it’s still not as bad as Metroid: Other M.
This time we play as the Sardaukar in one of three extra mission packs found in Dune Legacy. Things get interesting as the game does some unexpected things like giving us end game units in the first mission. Of course, despite all that, I still manage to beat the campaign.
I take on the final campaign of Dune II’s base game with the Atreides. At this point, I’ve figured out how the enemy AI reacts, so it’s all smooth sailing for the most part. We’ll see how things go next time though, since I’ll be tackling the extra three campaigns that are in Dune Legacy.
Time to find that grapple beam and continue our journey through the depths of the Space Pirate base on Zebes. Everything went pretty smoothly for the most part, though, it has been a REALLY long time since I’ve played Super Metroid.
Metroid 3, also known as Super Metroid, is one of my favourite games of all time, though I won’t deny that it’s showing its age now, especially after playing AM2R where I experienced a lot of interesting twists and turns.
We’ve fixed the problem with the drill and made our way to finish off the last of the Metroids on SR-388. Man, this game is so damn good, it really is an excellent remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus and really does stand beside other 2D Metroid games…
With Samus completing her Zero Mission, it’s time for her to head off to SR-388 and end the Metroid threat once and for all… though, this adventure isn’t the one most people expect when they talk about Metroid II.
Time to finish this Zero Mission and witness Samus Aran become the legend that dealt a serious blow to the space pirates. Time, also, to see one aspect of the series that was added to this game that was entirely overused…
I had a conversation recently where Metroid popped up and as soon as that happened, I had the urge to play through the 2D versions of Metroid. This is going to be the start of a bit of a marathon starting with Zero Mission and ending with Metroid Fusion.
House Harkonnen rises to meet the challenge and crushes their enemies under foot! With the Harkonnen campaign done, I decided to start it back up and go through Dune Legacy with the Ordos.
This version of Dune II is fan made and I honestly didn’t realise what I was getting myself into. I went in with the computer AI set to medium, which was fine throughout most of the missions until I got to the second last one…
