I’ve been going through this game so much faster than I thought I would! Sure, I’ve only opted to go through a single playthrough instead doing it all over again in a second playthrough, but I’ve squeezed everything I can out of this game playing it solo…
With the main story completed, it’s time to kill Dr. Ned and his abominations, hit up Moxxi and put an end to General Knoxx and Atlas. I got quite a bit done today, but there’s still a lot more to do. While I did try my hand at Moxxi’s Underdome, I didn’t end up completing it…
Wow, I’ve gotten straight back into my obsession with this game because I ended up playing 11+ hours of it today and got all the way to the end of the base game’s story. To be perfectly honest, I could have gone on and done more, but I forced myself to call it a night and continue on to the DLC tomorrow.
I’m actually pretty hyped for this playthrough because Borderlands was a huge obsession of mine back when it first came out. I played it a hell of a lot back then, but that was 9 years ago and I thought I’d come back to this game and do something really interesting with it…
This is it, the final stretch to get to the final boss…and just when I think I’ve defeated him, there’s more game to play through and a second round at defeating that final boss. Things get pretty exciting but I finally beat this game.
It’s taken me a awhile, but I honestly think I’m finally starting to improve with this game… I mean, there have been a few instances where I’ve failed a mission or gotten myself destroyed for really stupid reasons…
I’m having a lot of fun playing this game, but I’ve also been doing a lot of work lately which is really tiring. In this episode, I managed to get to, what I believe is the last section of the game and ended up having a pretty cool boss fight as well. Next time, let’s finish this game!
Everything was going so well and then I had to go and forget to enable some hotkeys which would allow me to bypass the whole death/capture state of your pilot and lose your rank in the process. So… I went from being a Captain back down to a Flight Officer, which sucks, but oh well.
I was originally going to buy this game for Wii way back in the day, but I never ended up buying it. Luckily, I found it being sold on GOG so here we are. This is a remake, rather a reimagining of a NES game that was done by WayForward.
As I play more of this game, I’m really beginning to understand all the small little problems it has that amounts to a great flaw in the game. The first flaw is that 99% of the time, you’re never told if you have failed your mission…
I was finally able to finish off those historical missions, not that I had any idea at the time because the last historical mission I did seemed to have bugged out (at least that’s what I think). Either way, I moved onto the first tour of duty…
