I’ve already played the hell out of this game on my PS4, but since I’m focusing more on PC these days, I wanted to go through it all over again, but this time using an ultrawide monitor and with MUCH better load times.
This session was actually pretty short because I had already done a few hours finishing off Shadow of the Tomb Raider and doing other stuff throughout the day. However, I did end up getting to the Coral Highlands with the Rotten Vale the next area to explore.
When I woke up today, I thought, why not spend the entire day playing Monster Hunter World? And so… here we are, though, this is only the session from the start of the day where I go through the Coral Highlands and enter the Rotten Vale.
And just like the first time I played this game on my PS4, I’m hooked. I don’t know what it is about Monster Hunter… and Monster Hunter World in particular, but everything about this game hits all the right marks to make you want to come back and play more… more! MORE!!
Whoops… PC crashed, but the game continues! I know I’m still playing through the low rank stuff, but I’m glad I was able to get back my Odogaron set because it looks pretty damn cool.
I thought I was going to start the playthrough of Resident Evil 2 remake first thing when I woke up this morning, but it turns out Steam wants me to wait. So, with that, there’s more Monster Hunter World!
As I’m going through those early High Rank missions, I keep forgetting that I still need to do a bunch of low rank stuff in order to get certain materials for crafting weapons.
In this session, I decide to work on upgrading all my Long Swords so that they get to the point where they require High Rank materials. It took a bit of doing, but I finally got there.
I wasn’t going to stream today, but hey, what the hell. May as well put more time into Monster Hunter World before I start a new game later on this week. In this session, I farm for some armour and do a few more HR quests…
Man, some people are morons… oh well. In any case, since I had time today, I thought I’d try and go for more of Zorah armour and upgrade a few swords here and there. If I want to take on stronger monsters, I need to be prepared…
I’ve spent a lot of time this session upgrading weapons and such, perhaps it’s time I started to work on all of that armour so that I am well prepared for all those 7 star quests that ended up unlocking.
