I’m off to Fiji… yay?

Hooray, I’m off to Fiji and it’s going to be… meh. I get that a lot of people would be excited to go to Fiji for whatever reason, mostly because it’s a good place to go for a holiday/vacation/whatever you want to call it… But for me, it’s simply meh.

I’m honestly not looking forward to going to Fiji because I honestly don’t care for it… I suppose if I allowed myself to pig out on Coca-Cola, chocolate and junk food, it wouldn’t be so bad, but I’m still restricting myself as per the challenge I started with Jeff over a month ago, a challenge he LOST less than a month after it started and he hasn’t posted up his SHAME post on his web site like we agreed upon! He has NO honour.

Anyway, I’m going over there for a cousin’s wedding (I hate weddings… I especially hate Indian weddings, guh) and whatever. I dunno, I’d just rather be at home trying to catch up on these video games that I had bought over the last couple of years which I haven’t had a chance to even play because I’ve been too damned busy with Uni (which is now over). This is all really just a waste of time… I suppose it’ll give me a chance to play all those 3DS games I bought and continue writing The Former Legacy while I’m there since I won’t really have anything better to do… maybe I’ll do that. Oh, and since I have a camera, may as well take a fucktonne of pics too to keep myself mildly amused.

People are probably reading this thinking I’m insane, but the picturesque view people have of Fiji is a lie, sorry to say. I’ve tasted more of the real Fiji than folks who go over there to stay in cushy hotels and resorts. Well, whatever… I’ll be heading off on the November 7th and I’ll be there for a week… a week of boredom, great.

Incidentally, Google images naturally gave me lots of blue pictures of picturesque island shots of the water and beaches, etc, so I refined my search parameters to find the “real fiji” instead. I think the header image sums things up quite nicely.
